One example where Holden "shoots crsp around us" is when he was on the bus with a fellow classmates mother. He was kind of hitting on her and very much lieing to her. "once I start lieing, I can't stop" what we can learn from this is that the first moment that we lie, we can't stop and this is true. We tend to lie and say things not from our own opinion, but what others want to hear. Holden lies I think because he wants to feel older than he feels like he is, his parents seem like they don't pay to much attention to him, so he lies to feel older so he can take care of himself. Another example I found was when he was calling the girl. "I deepened my voice so she couldn't tell my age" he called his girl that a guy told him about at a party and he wanted to have a "good" time with her or possibly give her "time" we can learn from this because we live in a very fast world and kids are tending to grow a lot faster in maturity, but we still act like kids inside. We want to do crazier and badder things to make us feel older and more cooler. We Dan respect our parents as much, so we want to get away from them as soon as possible so we try to act more mature and less dependent. We do crazy things to make ourselves feel better and cooler, which we shouldn't we should vaule our childhood becuase we will miss it in the end.
